Something I've noticed but never asked about...

Does anyone's gauge 'jump' a bit at steady throttle or during slight acceleration (ie - not pegged)? Mine does at times but not all the time. Always wondered if this is normal or a problem? And if a problem, what sort?

Concur that the gauge is pretty useless...I suspect this gauge is a carryover from the gas crisis days when everyone was trying to "help" leadfooted drivers get more MPG out of their cars. Or, at least show the gov't they were helping. Same category as upshift lights and other fine driving aids.

I would would trade it for an oil temp gauge in a heartbeat... :)
