Them E30's are thirsty...I'm getting about 17 - 19 MPG in mixed driving around Seattle. A little over 300 miles before I have to reach for the Texaco card.

Actually, the low milage is the biggest factor holding me back on Sharking the car. My gas bill's big enough as it sits...the last thing I need to do is dump premium into this baby.

: Those lights always seem to be set to come on with a couple gallons left in the tank. I think the actual capacity of the tank is 21.x gallons.

: Do you really only get 18 mpg with your 535i? My '93 525i goes around 450 miles before my light comes on, which is the one obvious advantage to having the smaller engine. :-P

: I have to say that I'm not used to this kind of range on a car, I'm still always expecting to run out of gas when I see 300 or so miles on the trip odometer. I get 25 mpg, and fill also usually get about 18 gallons when I fill up.
