Welcome to world of BMW. I agree the attitude sucks. As a do-it-yourselfer and hands-on type of car owner, the next time I buy a car I'll check that a factory service manual is available first.
: i am completely frustrated by lack of any technical/service response from any 800 number i can reach. canned response is "go to dealer....". has anybody had any success in getting info? in my experience nobody who works for bmw knows whether they work for an automobile company or ll bean. any tips for better access to real knowledge would be appreciated.
