Not sure if you have tried crazy glue as a last effort. If you must replace, don't forget to try some local junk -- oops, pardon me, recycling centers. Although you do not see too many BMWs in those places, you may get lucky.

If you state where you are in the country, others may help you in finding some of these centers.

If you are in the SF Bay Area, for example, you could try O2 Salvage in Hayward, or BMW recyclers in Berkeley (4th St, between Gillman and University).
