Mileage shouldn't be the biggest determining factor in the purchase of an automobile, however, higher mileage cars do need significantly more maintenance done on the car... Once a car reaches 100,000 miles big cost items such as head gaskets, suspension work, hoses, clamps etc should be taken into consideration before a purchase.. This is considered normal wear and tear items and in no way compromises the engineering of these cars!!!!
: To put a few peoples mind at rest about mileage , I purchased my car with 218,000 on theclock , it now has 227,000 and it purrs like a kitten , and I still drive her real hard , as I have since I bought her , she uses no oil or water to speak of , in fact I take it all for granted and just use the car and keep it cleaned and serviced.....versprung deutche technic
