Can anybody tell me what is adjustable on the E34's front suspension?

The steering on my 540i is unpleasantly vague when driving along a straight road (and, yes, I've removed the play that the steering box can induce). I believe classic suspension theory would suggest that there is insufficient castor, but castor angles are rarely adjustable.

Can castor be adjusted, and, if not, what's the likely cause of vague straight-line steering?
