New debate?--archives didn't really decide. I just changed out my thermostat as a PM step (prior to this it always stayed right at mid-point) with what i thought was the same oem 80c unit but after looking a little closer at the BavAuto catalog, i could have got 1 of 3 different thermostats, --couldn't tell what the orig one was. Now my temp gauge is reading about a needle width over the mid mark--consistently. Is it possible the one i replaced was a 71 or 75c and it's now running 5-9c hotter, or is that just the temp the thermostat opens up, and then it doesn't matter much ?
p.s. already did wp and fan clutch in august99, and bled system completely over the past 3 days. TIA
