: You can probably search archives and get lots of opinions on tires.

: I've got Pirelli P7000 Supersports on my '93 525i, with '91 M5 17" wheels. I'm using 235/45/ZR17 in front, 245/45/ZR17 in rear. (Also have Bilstein Sports, H&R springs and Dinan antiroll bars.) Really haven't seen much wet use, so can't comment there. Wearing pretty good. Have about 28K miles of spirited driving on them, including one CCA driving school at the track, and will be replacing tires in the not too distant future. I might get the P7000 Supersports again.

I agree. I have Pirelli P7000 Supersports on my '91 M5 235/45/17 front and back. They are an excellent tire for dry handling AND wet handling. Wear is excellent and price is reasonable.
