: The engine swap is a BIG plus. You will get a new 6 yr/100000 mi warranty on the engine. $19,300 sounds a little cheap for a 6 speed. Definately have it checked for damage. A quick way you can tell if a panel, door, hood, or trunk has been replaced is to look for the VIN #'s on all of the doors, fenders, hood, & trunk. These stickers are easy to find. The number on the sticker matches the VIN. They are black with white writing and have the BMW logo on it. They can not be removed or replaced. If you find one missing there is a good chance that that panel was replaced. Since you live in snow country definately have the undercarriage inspected for corrosion. Obviously, make sure all the bells and whistles work.
