The V8 problem you've been reading about is serious, but mostly for BMW, not for car owners, since BMW has acknowledged responsibility for it up to six years/100,000 miles. It is the only recurring problem with these cars as far as I'm aware. OTOH, if you have a '92 E34, 535i, with only 65k miles and no problems, that sounds like a keeper!
: I have never read so much about problems concerning one engine + other problems. From all the letters and stories on this page there can be no other conclusion. Are all newer Bimmers like this ? It seems that the engines are replaced regulary. I was concidering an upgrade but I think I will stick to my 535i-92. I have sofar had no problems whatsoever. It has 65k miles on the meter. Or ?
