: Jaguar MkII is a great car, the mechanicals are a bear to work on but a great car.
: Interesting note, MG brought out a sedan in the 50's called the Magnette. Looks like a smaller MkII Jag but has MGA and B mechanicals. Beautiful interior, Walnut dash and door cappings, Jaeger gauges, leather upholstery and trim. Wonderful car to drive (had 3 of them and to this day regret selling the last one - a late model ZB Varitone!) handled well and would cruise all day at 90! A very easy car to work on (except for the Lucas PoD electrics!) and a real looker.
: If you ever see a good one the only thing you really have to worry about is panel rust. If I EVER see one for sale (especially a CA or AZ car) I would snap it up....

I think I fell in love with them watching the Inspector Morse movies (excellent British series, did you get to see them in the US??).

I've located a company that specializes in restorations of Mk II and Series III Jags, and also offers a number of performance/safety enhancements. Now, I've just got to convince my significant other...
