for BMW in U.S. Should be able to source one through a battery distributor. I used an Interstate Grp 93 replacement one.

Not sure if your battery is under the hood or the back seat so make sure the replacement has the proper venting if it's under the seat.

: I get the same message on my 1995 515ia. Can anyone give me some feedback as to which batteries I might use and cost. Should I replace the battery with an OEM or is an aftermarket fine. The car is 5 yrs old and has never had the battery replaced.

: : The check control message followed with the see owner's manual message comes on when I insert the key into the start position and goes away after cranking the engine over. The messages appear again, after shutting the car off. The car runs perfectly fine!

: : Does anyone know if this is normal or if I should be alarmed. I check the archives, but haven't found any valuable information pertaining to my model and year.
