Thank goodness that the overwhelming majority of the posts to this board are by people who are kind and helpful! Unfortunately, every so often, some idiots have to come along and screw things up with worthless posts. My advice...if they don't leave a name, don't read their post. It's too bad that a valid e-mail address isn't part of posting a message.

Also, would the anonymous person explain why it's so stupid to not pay full dealer retail for BMW factory accessories? I think Ebay is a fantastic site. You can just about find anything you want, and in most cases pay less than retail. To me, finding things over the net is actually quite smart! I've bought probably 5 or 6 sets of Michelins from Tire Rack and saved hundreds over my local retailer each time. Let's see...the money I saved bought my performance chip, my CD changer, premium sheepskins, etc.....

And as far as calling the accesories that Bert bought "dumb crap," well you should probably get in touch with BMW and tell them what acceptable accessories they should offer. I'm sure they'll listen to someone who hasn't got the guts to leave their name.

Bert, if it's any consolation, I've bought stuff off of Ebay and from individuals off of this board. I've had great success, got some great deals, and made some new friends in the process. I don't regret it and certainly don't feel cheap. I actually consider it a smart thing to use the net to my advantage. Keep it up!
