My '93 520iT got the EXACT same problem a couple of weeks ago. I tried the resync operation descried in the Bentley manual without any luck.
Anyway, today the locks got resynced - and I'm not sure why and how! This is what happend, and it
may be that I did that magic secret resync operation for the e34 without knowing.
I get out of the car and push the driver side
front door button down in order to lock the car. All doors lock. I walk around the car and open the passenger side front door with key in order
to get access to that side back door to get my
briefcase. AND SUDDANLY ALL DOORS UNLOCKS ... AND ALL DOORS lock with key in from passanger side lock. It's resynced !!!
: My 95 540 is having some locking problems. My drivers side door lock is not synched with all of the other locks and will not respond to the remote or if you push the passenger side lock down. The rest of the doors and trunk respond to the remote and they respond to drivers side door. Although if I lock or unlock the drivers side door with the key manually all the other doors follow the drivers side and unlock or lock. My problem right now is that I have to use the key manually instead of the remote, I know it sounds lazy but the problem is annoying. Is there some sort of quick fix for it or do I need to take into the local stealership.
