The car should always run at the middle once warm. If it is very cold, like close to zero, my car still gets up to the middle. When very hot, with a/c on, it might go a click or so past middle, but that is ok. If your cooling system is all working thats the best you could do. Unless you have all new parts, radiator, water pump, fans all working 100%, don't know if mine are all working 100%, but my car runs at the proper temp.
: : : Test drove a 535i yesterday.
: : : The temp gauge was exactly at the half way mark....idle just above the middle...needle was visually touching the midpoint mark. It was about 50 degrees. Shouldn't it be in between the second quadrant and the mid point while driving? My E30 drove at the quarter range exactly home.
: : : Also the temp circular toggle switch bulbs were out. Do you get to the bulbs via the radio? Door panels were falling apart but I am definitely interested.
: : : Thanks!
