Ah ha ...you left one plug out!
I saw no change in mileage with the +4's on my 530, just a smoother idle and easier starts.
: : BMW's are very nearly perfect as they come from the factory. Performance gains can be had with various modifications as you know. The car is a "system" and as such is pretty much optimized for the cars particular "buyers" and their driving habits (as seen by MBW). I am now using the Plus 4 plugs but will most likely go back to oem and look elsewhere for subtle performance enhancements. Remember that you (or in the case of my 89) have to change the plugs fairly frequently anyway so oem should be fine. I may not be fairly representing the plus 4 plugs as I may need (pretty sure I do) to replace my o2 sensor. After I changed the plugs my milage dropped from 26 MPG to 21.6 MPG. There is a very good article from one of the magazines concerning the plugs. If you would like for me to locate that mag email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. If all other systems are fine in your car go ahead and try them for yourself, you may find that they improve your cars performance. 80.00? I think that the plugs ar 5.00 each and they are a snap to install (already factory gapped).
: Like so much advice that you receive, most of the time you really have to try it yourself and since not much cost is involved, why not try them.
: Good Luck
