: How long should it take to replace my evaporator core and convert to R134a?

I replaced the evaporator, expansion valve,receiver/drier and condenser over two weekends. The first weekend was spent removing the trim, etc. to gain access to the evaporator,as well as diagraming how things fit together. The second weekend was removal & replacement of all the AC components.I had the system charged and then reassembled all the trim. I spent approx.16hrs over-all.Of course, I could do it substantially quicker now and I saved about $1000 by doing it myself.
