Don't forget that on some earlier models, you could do it only on the drivers side, then it evolved to both front doors, and finally to the passengar's side. Worth it to disconnect the battery and give it a try to make sure you are comfortable with it before you really need it :o) :o) Don't forget to re-sync your locks once you get your battery fixed. One last thing, I though all E34's will kill the lights, radio, whatever if the battery starts to drain, you may want to check and see if you are getting a battery drain or maybe it is not properly grounded. : You turn the key like you're unlocking the door. Then lift the handle while holding the key in that position. Lifting the handle will allow you to rotate the key EVEN FURTHER. This will unlock the door manually.
