: I can get a copy of a haynes repair manual for $5, is it worth it? Will it do anything for me, I don't do any big repairs myself, only real simple things.

Sounds good if you don't do much work yourself. I bought the Chilton's and it is not that great. I'm a do it yourselfer. I would evan suggest that you get bentley's if you want to see what your mechcanic is talking about. I have a 90 535i.
I bought mine here in Japan , actually pic it up today. I am planning to
ship it back with me to the states in a year, but I need to have it converted
to u.s. safety standards. One big thing that I was hoping you could help me with
was the manufacture's stickers. I am going to have them translated from Japanese.
Is there anyway you can Email me what they say or send me a couple of digital pics.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
