Numbers may be in a different unit, but I've seen numbers in the 150-190 range. But, I don't know what those units are either...maybe psi...
Have them do a leakdown test. A leakdown test determines where the compression loss is. They will charge the combustion chamber with compressed air and then listen for where the leaking is.
Through the oil fill hole = problem with rings
Through the exhaust = problem with exhaust valve seating.
Through the intake = problem with intake valve seating.

: My authorized service says low compression in all cylinders in my 535i 1989. In four cylinders around 9, in one 7 and the last even 6 (I do not know what it means, should be compression ratio). They say, there should be around 11 in all cyl. What could be wrong?
