I know that this is an exhausted subject, but I just wanted to learn a few things. I have a '93 525i with 30,000 miles on it. I know the debate about turbos and superchargers, but I have a question. Has anyone ever used an Eaton supercharger like the ones in the SLK and XKR. I heard these are quiet, cheap and because it doesn't run at only 100% all the time (it can vary with its boost and gives positive boost even at idle(, it does not rob low end torque-while maintaining the benefits of a supercharger.
Downing Atlanta has akit for 4 cyl BMWs and I wanted to know if anyone knows of a kit out there or custom fabricated one.
Any info would be great,
-brandjur
