This may prove inconvenient since BMW dealers are not around every corner, but dealers who act like this do not deserve your money. Find someone who listens. Oh, and given their track record, don't believe them about the additional 4-years unless you get it in writing from BMWNA!

: Ok, finally got the results of my M60 engine sulfur test.
: Recap: Took my car in for the "Leakdown test" (Specifically). The dealer performed a "Idle quality test" where apparently "It proved satisfactory, not requiring a leakdown test." I was choked as I "Specifically told him to do such a test."
: Anyway, long story, but he did say that I shouldn't worry about it, BMW will warranty the problem for another 4 years (I was already over the 6 years, although I only have 75K miles on it).
: To add further insult, I asked then to put in my new Platinum +4 plugs when I dropped the car off. When I found them still on my seat, not even opened, he said they were the wrong ones (I have since put them in myself, they were the same, but the dealer later admitted he didn't even try to put the in).
: Moral of the story: "If you want anything done right, do it yourself!"
