: : If your car is just a daily driver, I seriously doubt that you'll notice any performance faults going to bigger rims/tires. I have a 95 540 with 18's 235/40-18, H&R springs and the stock Boge shocks, and the handling and ride is much better than stock. On the track, my car grips and handles unbelievably well. I would never go back to the stock 15's again. I think the 18's not only provide better aesthetics and symmetry to the car, but makes the car handle beyond any of my expectations. Again, ride quality and performance is totally subjective. I could care less about what someone thinks or writes about in some magazine. The important thing is that you - the driver is happy with your overall ride quality. Come on... you've got a classy distinguished ride, strut in style - if your want to race - get a real race car and go to the tracks. Commuters would really appreciate it!

Paul, just curious, am considering upgrading...what did the tires, springs and shocks cost (itemized)? thx!
