: Wait a minuet! My 92 535i was one of the years the 5 series didn't come with ellipsiods. When I cracked one I looked into replacing it. I ended up replace both sides with ellipsiods units. (YOU DO NOT WANT TO DO THIS-VERY HARD TO REPLACE HEADLIGHTS IN THESE CARS!!!!!)

: All ellipsiods are, are headlights with a projector type focus. They use the same bulbs as the other system. Xenon are a different matter. Just replace the bulb! If they are original, replace both. I used PIAA Platniums and noticed a brighter whiter difference.
