I think the throwout bearing is going south on my 1990 535iM. With 149K miles, I imagine that I should replace all the related components while the mechanic is in there right? Here's what I could think of at the moment:
1) pressure plate and disc
2) throwout bearing
3) pilot bearing (recommended?)
4) clutch actuating fork/arm (is this recommended too?)
5) anything I missed???
I've read in the archives that I can expect between $300-$450 for labor, but how much should I spend on parts? Should I go for OEM or Sach (BMW supplier, cheaper but not OEM), or other aftermarket? Please share how much your clutch repairs cost and if you know of any good deals on clutch kits. Thanks in advance!
