Mine's a '90 M20 engine.If your valve cover is not
dirty and covered with the yellowy lacquer like substance,then follow this suggestion:
1.Use maskng tape and mask out the bold BMW lettering and the lines by the sides of the lettering.
2.Get a high temp matt black spray paint and spray onto the valve cover.Voila,looks and feels good.
I finished the whole spray can on my project so that it is thick but as always,the initial paint layer must be dry before putting on the next.
Oh by the way, I had the valve cover out for this project.

: Looking to continue with suspension upgrade. installed Bilstein / Eibach. 17X8 BBs RsII wheels with yoko Sport rubber on the way. waiting on front and rear sway bars. considering strut brace....comments welcomed. considering RD sway...anybody out there know of a way to improve the looks of the valve covers in my car?....chrome...painted black....etc????
