I haven't personally adjusted the hood however I believe Bentley's suggests the adjustment points.

Or, take the car to you local BMW bodyshop and have them do it. Shouldn't cost too much.

: I an having a problem with the cooling fan clipping the insulation on the front hood. i know that the engiine is not moving and I have repalced the fan shrowed. any other suggestions....I have replaced the insulation once at the cool price of $90.00 from the stealer...and needless to say I don't want to go down that path again. I have notice that my front hood is also out of line, any suggestions on adjusting the front hood?
