: I heard my alarm go off last night around 1am (I was up taking care of my sick 7 month old daughter)..run up to the window to check my other baby - the 525i. Didn't see anyone around the car just a coffee-can'd exhaust, boomy driving around the corner. I guess I didn't think much about it since it's falsed lately because of really loud stereos (I really need to adjust it, but it's a pain in my rear). Anyways, going out to run some errands this morning I notice that I now have a very brash dent in my driver's door. It looks like a square the size of a softball was thrown at it - hard...Deep for it's size with paint removing scratches. It takes up the space to the right of the handle all the way to the edge of the back door.
: *sigh* Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has experience with this type of damage..any guess-timates would be appreciated. Thanks guys..

Been there! Pounding, filling and painting will be $400-$500 at the dealer ($300-$400 at an independent) - Ouch! I found out later I could have had it "dent-wizard'd" out for about $100-$150. You may have to touch up the scratches.
Good luck!
