I repainted the standard bottlecap wheels off my 89 525i last summer. I used the Wurth paint with recommended clear coat and got only mediocre results. My process: thorough cleaning, dry sanding, wet sanding, another cleaning, drying, painting, light sanding, second coat painting, clearcoat. I was careful to follow the instructions on the Wurth can, but the finish was very grainy (like sand was mixed with the paint)and the color did not match the new OEM center caps I installed. I also found that the clearcoat had a tendancy to disolve the paint. My advice-have it done professionally and don't waste half your summer like I did.
