I had the exact problem -- vibrations in the rpm range indicated -- at about 65,000 miles. Had to replace entire shaft - with a rebuilt one from a CA supplier. It was my understanding that you couldn't replace the U-joints as they were a pressed fit - and become part of the shaft itself. Some 45,000 miles later, no problem. But the rebuilt part cost about $450. plus labor (about $250.) You might check archives for other experiences. Good luck. DJD in KY
