I dont know the name of this plastic part, but anyways, I washed my car this morning, and then I continued to put some armour all in all the black plastic in the engine compartment. When I sprayed the cleaner thing in the "fan housing" and proceed to wipe it with a cloth, BANG!!! it crack like a cracker!!
my finger made a hole in it!! And the thing desintigrated in my own hand!! Does this has happeneded to anybody in this board? My 525 is a 1994
and this plastic is so cheap!!. Why Does BMW uses so
much cheap parts? Like the plastic propellers in the water pumps, all the plastic parts in the engine compartment are of a very inferior quality. About 4 monthns ago, I replaced my water pump for my 89 Toyota
and I did not put back the fan housing, and the plastic material was very flexible, and it was imposible to brake it. On the bimmer I was lucky that it didnt brake while driving, because it would it brake the Plastic Fan. Once again the plastic fan seems like the same cheap plastic as the fan housing.

Thanks for you input.
