I've been told that a good uphosltery shop should be able to do this job. I have the botom of the driver's seat on my 525i a little bit faded and the heat element not working. I was about to do it but since winter is almost over, I'm putting it off, they tell me to replace the heat element they have to take the seat apart and sew it back after and there is where they could recondition the leather.

Your local BMWCCA chapter should have a place they recommend, changing the whole seat might be easier but probably more expensive.
