I got $19K for my 92 535ia with 90K miles, but it wasn't just immaculate it was perfect. At least that is what the buyer said.
I also had ALL the service records since new, always used synthetics, alway dealer serviced.
The car was never hit or painted and had upgrades that added value to the car.
Genuine BMW 17 M5 wheels and rear spoiler.
Color combinations have a lot to do with prices too. Mine was white with tan leather.

It depends what you want and what is out there.
