If you really want a source to negotiate price, try Their prices are generally much lower than Kelley or NADA.

For what it's worth, I bought a '90 535i 5-speed with 104k miles for $7800 last year. I bought it from the original owner who had every service record from day one (all service was done at the dealer). The pre-purchase mechanical inspection showed that it would need a clutch in the near future, and that it needed some other minor work. I don't think I'd be able to find another one at that price, but at least you can use this info in your negotiation.

Good luck,

: I am looking to purchase a 1990 535i 5 speed with 107k miles. It's a one owner car and was well maintained. It runs good however it appears that it needs a paint job soon. He is asking $11500 and i offered him $9500. His bottom line price is $10000. What would be a fair price?
