Well, thats kind of a relief. I almost started crapping bricks when my dad said how much the dealer charges him for it. Didn't wanna have that to look forward too. :)

I think the engine I have is the M50... its a '92 525iT in any case. The only place I have to work on this thing is either a very cramped garage it will barely fit in or a somewhat steep driveway... so getting under it may be a problem for me. It wasn't too comfy under my Impala and that thing rides as high as a truck on its air suspension. I guess I'm gonna give it a go though, if for no other reason than to rise to the challenge. May try it on my dad's '97 328is too... maybe make a few bucks on it. :)

: No, it is not anymore difficult than a chevy, the only thing is, you may have a canister filter depending on your engine. It is very easy, and makes you want to fix other stuff too. ( Bentley manual a MUST for "other things").

: As far as jacking the car goes, I may be wrong, but i use the rails that run from front to back, and backup with jackstands.

: You are welcome to ask questions about anything on this board, that is why it's here.
