I have searched the archives and I persolly think that the Inspection II can be done by the DIY type owner.Basically the things that are replaced:
1.Oil & filter 2.Fuel filter 3.Spark Plugs 4.Air filter 5.Both the gearbox and diff oil 6.Brake fluid 7.A/C microfilter 8.Washer fluid 9.Coolant 10 Lubricate hinges 11.Rotate tyres etc.
Basically ALL the fluid in the car will be replaced. On top of the component changes,a host of other inspection is also done.I would suggest that should you decide to send the car to a garage, get a detailed list of the work the dealer intend to do and the cost as well.
The bulk of the expenses goes for labor charges.
I would spend the whole weekend at the home garage and c/out the inspection myself and in the process get satisfaction that the work done is actually done right
