You can buy a support belt that reduces the effort required from your back muscles. Check Brookstone or an industrial supplies catalog. Otherwise rest your knees on a platform to get your back straight.
: I spent most of last Saturday leaning over the engine bay changing the cam cover gaskets of my 530 an , apart from the usual Bentley oversights it was fairly straight forward. But my back is now killing me. How the hell do the grease monkey's in the service shops do this all day without being in traction ?
