They are made by Hella. You can find them at any car accessories shop-at least here in Switzerland- or, at your BMW dealer.
The 2 front blinkers and the 2 side repeaters (euro) cost me 120 SFr (about75$), for an E34!.
For the looks... Depends on the color of the car. On my amethyst (violet) 1995 M5, they look great, they make the nose of the car appear smaller, which IMHO is good. Anyway, at that price I was willing to take the risk.
For the E34, the numbers are: 82 19 9 404 275 left, 82 19 9 404 276 right front; and 82 19 9 404 387 left, 82 19 9 404 388 right side repeater.
My 2 cents'worth..
