The small light bulb is a push-in type and can work loose. I pulled my climate control switches for the same reason and cleaned the contacts on the bulb and reinserted it. It lasted two days and is now completly dead. Shoulda replaced it.

The job is not hard, but you do have to remove the radio and all connections from behind the control panel. You then need to move the control unit to a workbench to get to the bulb. If you are not comfortable with removing and replacing several connections and control bits, then let the dealer do it.
