: Brett,
: just put a JC chip in my 95' 530i 5sp three weeks ago. I also had a Conforti chip in my 93' 318is, and loved it.Would have done it sooner in the 530i, but as far as I know, only Turner and EuroSport mess with the software for the baby 8's, and you have to send them your DME so that they can copy the drive away protection info.As my daily driver, I just didn't have the time to down the car for several days.

: As for performance difference, well how's this for an analogy; it's as if you engine had sinus congestion, and after the chip, it can breath freely. You can feel the improvement in low end torque because you're able to run up to 3500revs with a smooth, even pull, in contrast to the powerband bump that you'd get at around 3000revs without the chip. It's a big improvement for a 5sp, especially if you do a lot of around town driving.

: For $249, it worth the smile every time you come off the line ;)

: Jeff
