How do you reset the Interior guage that keeps track of when you should have your oil changed?

I have a 95 540I and it has the 6 led's in the dash that light up when you start the car. The green bars dissappear as your mileage increases to let you know when to change your oil.

Do I need to get my car serviced by a BMW dealership or can any Oil Change place handle this task?

Thanks for your help and time.. first time bmw owner here..

: : The filter will include new crush washers and O rings. It is like changing the oil in most cars. Take care when installing the drain plug. Overtightening will strip the threads from the oil pan. When removing the filter cartridge have a pan sitting on top of the valve cover so you can slide it under the cartridge as soon as you lift it out. If you attempt to carry it over the engine compartment without a catch pan you will make one heck of a mess as it will drool all over your nice M50. A Bentley manual is a nice addition to your garage.
