Distributor cap and rotor swap (archive)

Interesting...

Put a new cap and rotor on the 535i yesterday. The old one was pretty baked - all the contracts were corroded. Nice improvement in the idle smoothness.

Funny that this item is not specified on the regular BMW service intervals.

Anyway...thought I would share my experience.
