open the passenger side lid(holding manual, etc) (archive)

Hi-
Just bought a 535i. After reading its manual I put it back and closed the lid. Then it refused to be opened again. I tried to lock and unlock it using the master key, but it just didn't work. I noticed that though the lid is closed, it upper right corner is not in proper position.

Any suggestion is highly appreciated.
