Hey Ace,

I'm not exactly sure what's going on with your sunroof, but I can make one suggestion. The inner cover can be slid apart from the outer shell, allowing you to peak at the mechanism. This may give you the opportunity to actually see what the problem is. To release the inside cover from the outside, use the switch to move the sunroof back into the body about 10-12 inches. There are two plastic clips that connect the inner panel to the outer panel. These clips are accessable from the front edge of the sunroof. I think they're located about 4-6 inches in from the outside edges. If you've ever seen an old wooden clothes pin, that's what they resemble. Once you've got the roof slid back so that you can get to the clips, you just pry them apart a little while pushing the inner panel back. Once you've disengaged the clips, you can just push the inner panel back into the roof. Just be careful that you don't push it so far back you can't get it back out. Once you've done this, you will be able to see the mechanism. Maybe you'll be able to see your problem once all of the internals are exposed. I hope that this helps out.
