: I have a 540i 6-speed. I have a steering problem. Not only is it a little vague on center (for which I suspect the usual suspects: steering box, thrust arm bushings, etc.) but also the steering effort is different depending on which way I turn -- more effort to turn right, less effort to turn left. BTW, I had the motor mounts replaced a few months ago because they were broken. ! (I blame my wife.) I think something in the steering linkage is bent.

: Anyone have the same problem? Anyone have any thoughts suggestions?

: Thanks.
