92' 525it hi-perf intake/exhaust for M50 engine?? (archive)

I cannot seem to find an aftermarket cone style filter/adaptor kit for my 1992 525it with M50 engine. Is there one available for this car/engine combination? Will the one for the 325i/M50 fit or work? Bavarian Auto said to modify the 325i/M50 model to fit, has anyone done this or seen this done?

Any opinions about which exhaust system is nice in the $200-450.00 range?
