It sort of disengages and catches with a slight jerk. It remains in the same gear. If you let up on the throttle it stops exhibiting the problem. If you give it some gas it upshifts. Is there a diagnostic tool the dealer may have to check the trans or are most dealers "parts replacers"?

I have the same problem 1992 525it. wont bother to fix it
