Seat Heater lights (archive)

the lights on the seat heater rocker switch come on when i turn on the cars lights, but they do not light up when you switch the heater on without the headlamps. are these seperate lights/bulbs/leds?? can they be replaced or do i need a new switch? or is too much of a hassle for such a small thing??
