I wouldn't consider it a performance mod, though, unless you did it right. I mean doing an intake system, probably an exhaust, I don't know about the throttle body. But I would say the hot air does lower performance a little. But, I did run a 15.8 in the 1/4 mile with 140,000 miles, with the tuneup light on, with 16"s (48 lbs each w/tire as compared to 44 lbs w/bottle caps) at 88 MPH. The only other mod I have is the chip. So, if you believe a chip does nothing, then it must not hurt it that much. And it DOES sound really nice under full load. =) Personally, I'd rather have an exhaust, but for $100... couldn't pass it up.

: thinking about adding this bolt-on to my car...

: does it sound cool? is it a pain in the butt to clean?
: is that homemade heat shield working, or do you
: think the hot air might actually be decreasing performance?
