What can I use to pinch the lines so that I don't lose much gas? Losing a ton of gas to replace the fuel filter is what I am afraind of! Thanks!
: Right where Jeff G. says it is, at least on my 535i. Mounted transversely. When switching, be sure to pinch the lines or else you get a TON of gas that dumps out. The filter alone must hold nearly a pint.

: Good luck

: : : Where is it? This is for a 92 525. Also, any tips when replacing it. How often should it be replaced? I will be ordering a Bentley Manual soon! Thanks!

: : It should be near the rear wheel on the driver's side. That's the place on my 535i. The cannister is about 8" long and silver if I remember right.
